Cardiovascular Medicine is one of the key disciplines of Shanghai Yida Hospital. It is dedicated to saving patients' lives, improving their quality of life, and diagnosing and treating various common and difficult diseases of the cardiovascular system as well as rescuing acute critical conditions.
Currently, 167 beds are available. There are three wards, a coronary heart disease intensive care unit (CCU), a catheterization room, a cardiac function room, a cardiac ultrasound diagnosis room, and so on. Relying on professional technical capabilities, complete medical equipment, and a strong expert team, The department will strengthen the construction of the Heart Failure Center, Chest Pain Center, Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, and Atrial Fibrillation Center within the hospital, improve the overall quality of cardiovascular chronic disease management, and create a regional demonstration area for cardiovascular chronic disease management.
The department is currently equipped with GE medical angiography X-ray machine (Optima) IGS 320, GE SIGNA Architect 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging system, GE 128-slice 256-layer wide-volume spectral CT, GE E95 color ultrasound diagnostic instrument, IABP, Boston intravascular ultrasound, rotational atherectomy interventional treatment instrument, multi-channel electrophysiological instrument, etc.
At present, the department routinely conducts the following surgeries:
l Interventional treatment for coronary heart disease: coronary angiography, IVUS, FFR, and OCT examinations, interventional treatment for complex coronary artery lesions (calcified lesions, chronic occlusive lesions, bifurcation lesions), absorbable stent implantation, drug balloon dilation, etc.
l Interventional treatment for arrhythmia: ablation of supraventricular tachycardia, ablation of pre-excitation syndrome, ablation of atrial tachycardia, ablation of atrial flutter, ablation of atrial fibrillation, ablation of ventricular premature contractions, ablation of ventricular tachycardia, etc. Currently, the department conducts three energy ablation methods: radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation, and pulsed ablation.
l Implantation of electrical devices in the heart: single-chamber and double-chamber pacemaker implantation, triple-chamber pacemaker implantation, ICD implantation, leadless pacemaker implantation, etc.
l Closure of congenital heart defects: atrial septal defect closure, ventricular septal defect closure, patent ductus arteriosus closure, etc.
l Interventional treatment for heart valve diseases: percutaneous aortic valve replacement (TAVR), pulmonary valve balloon dilation, mitral valve balloon dilation, transcatheter edge-to-edge repair of the mitral valve, etc.
l Others: left atrial appendage closure, right heart catheterization, pulmonary vascular intervention, peripheral vascular intervention, chemical ablation of septal branches of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, inferior vena cava filter implantation or removal, etc.

Hypertension, coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, heart failure, myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, pericarditis, infectious endocarditis, heart valve disease, rheumatic heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary embolism, hyperlipidemia, peripheral vascular disease, etc.
